Panchakarma is a Ayurvedic, rejuvenating and rejuvenating health procedure. The Sanskrit word panchakarma means five activities that balance the natural forces within the body and create the conditions and environment for physical and mental healing.
Panchakarma is the most profound procedure used in Ayurvedic therapy. Through soft and gentle body procedures, a solid daily routine and diet, it is possible to heal from chronic health problems and change inappropriate patterns of thought and behaviour. Panchakarma is usually done in a special clinic for a month. However, for many this is not available because it is expensive and time-consuming.
There is also an easier alternative, home-based panchakarma, which is carried out under less regimented conditions. In home panchakarma, ghee (butter oil) is used to cleanse the body internally and the process is supported by diet, pranayama, meditation, massage and yoga. It is a good way to cleanse your body and thereby increase your ability to listen to your body.
Panchakarma is a time for introspection and relaxation. It is important to spend time in nature and avoid over-stimulation such as television or hard work. Take time to reflect, meditate, cleanse the mind, body and spirit inside and out.
During the retreat, we will undergo a home panchakarma cleansing procedure in a supported environment outside the confines of everyday life. The experience gained will give you the confidence to repeat it independently at home if necessary.
The Panchakarma retreat will take place from 21-26 November at a tourist farm in West Estonia.
The price of the retreat is €500 and includes:
- Personalised health consultation. Health assessment at the start of panchakarma and personalised recommendations on exit.
- Demonstration of procedures and guided practice.
- Massage on all days.
- Yoga, pranayama and meditation.
- Instruction in nutrition and food preparation.
- Chat sessions.
- Sauna, food and overnight stay.
- Good company and a peaceful introspection.

Karolin, yoga teacher, founder of yoga school:
Mirjami’s body-friendly and loving attitude will lead you to a deep introspection, healing, acceptance. Today’s society’s mentality of achievement, of doing, of striving, often leads us beyond ourselves in pursuit of our goals, we do too much to ourselves and fail to achieve our goals. Panchakarma is not a “strict goal-oriented purification” but a gentle and body-friendly journey that takes you on a deep first journey in your body and emotions. The body gets rest, balances, recovers. In the process, the mind and emotions are also cleansed, resulting in deep body-mind harmony and balance. Nature takes its time, but everything gets done. In the same way, the enjoyable panchakarma, the gift of deep self-love and care for your body and mind, unfolds.
Alar, Founder and founder of the Massage and Health Academy:
I came straight from another camp and arrived to find the holy food cooking in the pot… cooking and cooking and cooking and then I realised it wasn’t about the cooking, it was about time standing still. There was no hurry, no more worries, no more other world. It was just Ayurvedic rituals and …yoga and…. massage and …sauna and then exactly the same thing…only you are different every day and more balanced. For a while there was still balance…
